Minister of Finance Ahmed Shide said that a lot of attention is being paid to the private sector to build sustainable inclusive development and a stable macro economy in Ethiopia.

The "Invest Ethiopia 2023" forum, which aims to promote investment opportunities in Ethiopia, has started today in Addis Ababa.

Minister of Finance Ahmed Shide, who attended the three-day forum; He explained that Ethiopia is carrying out comprehensive reforms to build a strong economy.

He mentioned that the government is implementing the national economic reform program to build a sustainable and inclusive development as well as a stable macro economy.

He said that efforts are being made to ensure inclusive, competitive and sustainable development led by the private sector.

Commissioner of Ethiopian Investment Commission, Lise Neme, said that the forum is a great opportunity to promote investment options in Ethiopia to investors.

He said that the government of Ethiopia is carrying out other reforms, including the opening of key sectors to foreign investors to increase the flow of foreign direct investment.

He pointed out that there are potential investment options in agriculture, mining, home development, manufacturing industry, tourism, renewable energy and other sectors and called on investors to engage in each sector.

He pointed out that there are international standard industrial parks, favorable investment policy, productive workforce, logistics provision and other favorable conditions.

According to ESA report, Commissioner Le Lisse added that the government is committed to providing necessary support to international investors investing in Ethiopia.

The Investment Forum being held in Addis Ababa is a platform that connects investors, financial institutions, infrastructure providers, development partners and other actors in the sector.

An exhibition showcasing investment options in Ethiopia was also presented to the forum audience.
