It took 7 years to analyze the data collected from all areas for delimitation

 - The technical committee

**********************

The members of the technical committee said that it took 7 years to reach a decision by analyzing the data collected from all areas for the demarcation work.

The members of the technical committee of the boundary demarcation said in their meeting with ABC that the demarcation work carried out based on research is based on the needs of the residents of Addis Ababa and the Oromia Special Zone around Finfine.

The members said that a five-member committee was formed from both sides to collect and analyze information from all areas, which took 7 years.

Hargemo Hamamo, a member of the technical committee, said that the boundary demarcation work should be developed within the framework of law and order without harming the residents of Addis Ababa or the special zone around Finfine.

Mr. Hargemo said that when the growth of Addis Ababa city expands, farmers should not be the beneficiaries of the development, but the victims, and everyone should share the growth fairly.

Another member of the technical committee, Ato Gfaowsen Desisa, said that due to the lack of boundary demarcation, there was a map overlap between Addis Ababa and Oromia Special Zone on 3,000 hectares of land.

They used the boundary problem as a hiding place for rent collectors, creating good governance problems and stating that it was a source of good governance problems.

The committee members said that the demarcation work does not limit the social and economic ties between the people of the two administrations. It is an indicative line of the area designated by law only for them to carry out their development and good governance issues in a manner suitable for administrative services.#ebc
