The Ministry of Transport and Logistics reviewed the performance of the sector in the 2014 fiscal year with the officials of the Regional Transport Bureau.

He stated that he was able to create a sense of ownership by discussing with the community regarding the security of the 12 km long railway line that crosses Dredawa city administration. He explained that a successful operation was carried out by putting a sticker stating that the public transport service vehicles that benefited from the fuel subsidy were used.
Mr. Birhanu Lathemo, who is the head of Sidama National Regional Government's Transport Office, pointed out the details of the road transport infrastructure constructions and services in the region during the fiscal year, as well as awareness activities to prevent and control traffic accidents.
The 2014 fiscal year report that Amarana, Sidama regions and Dredawa city administration listed the problems encountered in the transport and logistics sector and presented in detail the solutions and ideas that need further attention.
Amhara National Regional Government Transport and Logistics Bureau Chief Ato Wbe Kotefu presented the works done in the region in detail during the fiscal year. In the region, licensing and renewal services for drivers and technicians, current and regular transport tariffs for public and urban transport have been studied and implemented, the construction of traffic complex networks has been carried out in various cities this year, urban transport vehicles have been scheduled to work in terms of expanding transport services and making them accessible, to reduce traffic accidents. The head of the office stated that many awareness activities have been done and achieved results.
Mr. Abdulbar Shemsu gave an explanation regarding the role of the regions and city administrations in the implementation of the targeted fuel subsidy implemented this year, as well as the gaps encountered and the corrective measures taken.
The Honorable Minister of Transport and Logistics Mrs. Dagmawit Moges, who presided over the forum, said that in the 2014 fiscal year, due to the commitment of the leadership and workers of the sector, difficult and impossible tasks were accomplished.
