In Tigray region, 26 health centers, including eight hospitals, started providing basic services
Addis Ababa, It was reported that 26 health centers including eight hospitals in Tigray region have started providing basic health services.
State Minister of Health, Dr. Ayele Teshome, during his visit to FANA Broadcasting Corporation, said that the health facilities that have started working have provided medical services to more than 83 thousand people in the past few days.
The Minister of State also stated that 225 metric tons of health supplies have been made available to the health facilities of Tigray region for which the government and partners have spent more than 200 million birr.
Dr. Ayele said that there is a shortage of ambulances and mentioned that ambulances bought by partners will be sent to the region to solve the problem.
The Minister of State explained that work is being done to put blood banks and oxygen production centers in the region into operation.
