Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Demeke Mekonon discussed with Mirjana Spoljarik Eger, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross in his office.

 

In their discussion, Ato Demeke stated that the peace agreement is being implemented with determination.

 

He explained that the basic services that were interrupted due to the conflict in the northern part of the country at the moment are being made to start services in a strengthened manner.

 

Mr. Demeke stated that the activities of expanding and strengthening the access to humanitarian aid are being carried out.

 

According to the information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ato Demeke asked the International Committee of the Red Cross and other international partners to continue their support.

 

Ato Demeke said that the government is working to provide access to those who need help due to the conflict and drought in the northern part of Ethiopia.
