Former Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo has been banned for two domestic games after throwing a mobile phone out of the hand of an Everton fan.

The 37-year-old Ronaldo committed this act in April of last year when he went down the stadium after a defeat at Goodison Park Stadium.

Due to a strained relationship with his team Manchester United and coach Erik ten Haag, the player was dismissed by mutual agreement between Ronaldo and the team last Tuesday.

In addition to a two-match ban for Ronaldo's alleged assault on a spectator months ago, the Football Association has also fined him £50,000.

However, it is said that this suspension will not prevent him from lining up for his country, Portugal, which will play its first match against Africa's representative in the World Cup today.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who will lead the national team of Portugal in Group 'H' with Ghana, South Korea and Uruguay in the World Cup in Qatar, will have a big responsibility.

Ronaldo, who does not currently have a team to play for after being dismissed from Manchester United, will be banned from playing in clubs in England or any other country he joins next.

However, it is said that this punishment will not be applied to the club's continental participation such as the Champions League, but to the domestic league game the team will play.
