The Corporation announced in a statement sent to Ethio FM that it is distributing 5 million liters of palm oil from the government's decision to address the increase in the price of oil production and the lack of supply in the country.

This product, which was purchased through the corporation from an edible oil company in Djibouti called Golden Africa; 21.5 million liters of oil production from December 21, 2015 for which the Corporation has signed a general contract.

He said it has been distributed through distribution centers in Bahir Dar, Gondar, Dese, Gambella, Jimma, Dredawa and Addis Ababa cities.

The oil product is sold to the society at a fair rate based on the quota set by the Minister of Trade and Regional Relations through consumer cooperatives and authorized suppliers based on the price set by the government.

The corporation also said that the price is approaching.

The rest of the oil will be continuously imported and distributed, including the Directorate of Corporate Communications.
