On the other hand, Jamal Ymer, the athlete participating in the men's half marathon, stated that although the gathering time and preparation of the athletes was short, they were prepared to achieve good results as a team with the weather.
Getamesai Mola, the coach of the athletic team participating in the half marathon; He explained that the athletes have been preparing for three weeks and have been practicing in places close to the hot climate.
Although the preparation period is short, the coach stated that they are ready to achieve better results in the championship, according to ESA.
The first World Road Running Championship will be held this Sunday, September 20, 2016 in Riga, Latvia.
347 athletes from 57 countries will participate in the championship.
1 mile, 5 km and half marathon are the distances for both genders.
Ethiopia will be represented in the championship by 7 women and 6 men with a total of 13 athletes.
