The Addis Ababa city administration held a signing ceremony today for two mega projects that will cost more than 7.6 billion birr.

It is the first of the agricultural products sales centers to be built at a cost of more than 6 billion in three different locations (Belmi Kura sub-city 2 project; Kolfe Karanyo sub-city 1 project).

The second is the construction of the B+G+8 project, which will be built at a cost of 1.5 billion.

Honorable Mayor Adanech Abebe, who was present at the signing ceremony, said that the city administration has spent 6.1 billion birr for three agricultural products sales centers to be built in the West and East Gate. He said that their contribution is great.

He also stated that the market centers will be able to save the city dwellers from the cost of living pressure by providing agricultural products on time so that there is no supply problem and the producer will also benefit by providing the products.

He also said that when the malls are completed and start providing services, they will create job opportunities for 30 thousand people.

He said that the company that will build it has taken the experience of completing a short-term project in the city and will continue to strengthen our practice of working 24/7.

Mayor Adanech, who mentioned that the expansion of the hospital is a huge part of the plan to make the city a health tourism center, said that the hospital's capacity to receive and treat patients will increase when the historic and ancient Zewditu Hospital expansion project is completed.

The two companies that took the contract to build the projects said that the projects are of great benefit to the people and that they will work to complete the projects on schedule despite the difficulties they face.

It is stated that the city administration has allocated more than 7.6 billion birr to build the hospital expansion and the shopping mall.
