Construction was started for the residents whose homes were damaged by the flood

 

A construction program was held today for the residents of Addis City sub-district district 03 Emmanuel area whose houses were destroyed by natural disaster.

 

According to Addis Ababa Deputy Mayor Jantarar Abai, who was present at the program, he mentioned that the city administration is doing people-oriented work and announced that it will do work focused on prevention before damage occurs.

 

He stated that although we cannot restore the lost and honorable human life, the 10 houses that were destroyed with the full support of the Federal Ministry of Industry have been decided to be fully constructed.

 

The Minister of Industry, Ato Melaku Alebel, said that he was saddened by the loss of life and property.

 

Ato Melaku added that he promised to completely restore the 10 destroyed houses and hand them over to the residents.

 

The Chief Executive Officer of Addis Sub-city Administration, Mrs. Shtaye Mohammed, thanked the ministry for starting this good work, even though it was not convenient to immediately put the families whose houses were destroyed in the natural disaster into shelters.

 

It is to be remembered that 2 people lost their lives and 10 houses were completely destroyed in the natural flood that occurred in Emmanuel area on July 24/2014.
