5.13 billion birr project construction agreement was signed

The Ministry of Irrigation and Lowland Environment has signed a 5.13 billion birr construction agreement with Hansol Paper Company of South Korea.

 

The agreement will allow for the construction of Adaa Becho Groundwater Irrigation and Rural Development Project.

 

The project will be carried out in Oromia region in Eastern Shawana, Southwest Shawa zones, Adana and Cho fields.

 

The agreement was signed by the Minister of State for the Ministry of Irrigation and Lowland Environment, Dr. Birhanu Lenjiso, and the Head of Hansol Division of Hansol Paper Company, Mr. David Toshan Kim.

 

The project includes the development of groundwater irrigation, installation of irrigation facilities, supply of clean drinking water, agricultural training center and related facilities, agro processing plant, pilot smart water management system, supply of agricultural machinery and vehicles, community support, pilot operation for agricultural training centers and agro processing. They are a plant.

 

According to the information we received from the Ministry of Irrigation and Lowland Areas, the construction of the project will start in January 2016 and will be completed in January 2020.
