An exhibition involving more than 70 manufacturers was opened today at the Ethio-Cuba Friendship Park.

Addis Ababa City Administration Deputy Mayor and Head of Business Enterprise and Industry Development Bureau Mr. Jantarar Abai launched an exhibition featuring various locally produced products on the occasion of Pagumen 2 Productivity Day.

More than 70 manufacturers engaged in clothing, food, educational materials, hygiene materials and other products participated in the exhibition.

By paying attention to the manufacturing industry, the government has been able to increase the production capacity of industries in Addis Ababa from 42 percent to 43 percent, said Jantarar Abay, Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa and head of the Labor Enterprise and Industry Development Office.

In order to facilitate the development of the country, Ethiopia should take its own products and join the world market, the deputy mayor said.

Productivity Day is being celebrated with the guiding idea of "Let's create a developed economy by making manufacturing a culture".

It has been announced that the exhibition will be open to consumers and visitors for three consecutive days from today.
