Lelije - Best Amharic Dubbed Turkish Drama series.
This drama series centers on Poyraz Karayel, a police officer who loses custody of his son after being sentenced to prison due to charges brought against him. Following his sentence, he becomes a taxi driver with the help of his superior, Mumtaz; however, his job entails more than just driving—he is also tasked with monitoring Bahri Umman, the head of one of Istanbul's most powerful mafia families. One day, while driving his taxi, Poyraz finds himself unable to see his son, and the matter ends up in police hands. Amidst these events, he meets Ayşegül.
An Unexpected Second Chance

After serving his prison sentence, Poyraz is given a chance to rebuild his life through the help of his former superior, Mumtaz. At first glance, the opportunity seems straightforward. He is offered work as a taxi driver, providing him with a way to earn a living and begin moving forward.

However, nothing in Lelije is ever as simple as it appears.

What initially seems like an ordinary job soon becomes something far more dangerous. Poyraz is secretly assigned to monitor Bahri Umman, one of Istanbul's most influential and feared mafia leaders. The mission places him directly in the middle of a criminal world filled with power struggles, betrayals, and hidden agendas.

This premise immediately creates tension. Poyraz must balance two conflicting realities. On one hand, he is trying to rebuild a life worthy of his son's respect. On the other, he is operating in a dangerous environment where one mistake could cost him everything.

The drama excels in creating suspense because viewers constantly understand the risks faced by Poyraz. Every interaction carries consequences. Every friendship might hide suspicion. Every decision could expose his true purpose.
