The government of Sidama region is holding a discussion about the organization of the zone

The national regional government of Sidama is holding a discussion regarding the organization of the zone.

Speaking at the forum, the head of the regional administration, Mr. Sadha Ledamo, stated that the zonal structure was delayed after the Sidama people were organized in the region, and pointed out that it was feasible to do so at the time.

However, he stated that it is not possible to continue this approach, and after this, a committee has been formed and a study has been conducted by the Governing Council to structure the organization of the zone.

The participants of the discussion also informed that the regional government is ready to accept any idea that can benefit the people.

Chairman of the Zoning Organization Study Committee and the Deputy Head of Sidama Region Mr. Yeene Berasa said that when the study was conducted, the areas where the zoning structure would be structured would be in such a way that it could ensure the public's benefit.

The information we received from the regional head office indicates that the discussion was held with regional, city and district officials and academics and that the input ideas were raised and a consensus was reached.
