#Ethiopia The Ethiopian Red Cross Society has received the support of six ambulances worth 17.7 million birr with full medical equipment.

 

The ambulances were purchased with the support of the European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Organization and the Austrian Development Agency.

 

It is said that the four ambulances will provide services to the community living in North Wolo and North Gondar region of Amhara and two in Bambasi and Dangur area of ​​Benishangul Gumuz region.

 

According to the general secretary of the association, Mr. Thaaa, "in addition to the ambulances we received today, support has been provided to cover the operating costs of 10 ambulances for the next 18 months."

 

The representative of the Austrian Red Cross in Ethiopia, Temeseng Abebe, said while handing over the support, the ambulances can serve 22,500 people.
