The products the Exchange has prepared to introduce into the trading system are teff straw, opal, hides, and leopard skin.

It mentioned that last year, beer barley, teff, sesame, 'golo' fruit, dagussa, and nug were introduced to the modern trading system.

It was announced that the number of product types it currently trades has now reached 28.

We have heard that since its launch in Miyazya 2017, the online trading platform has traded over 27,830 tons of products worth more than 12.5 billion Birr.

It is said that the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange, which has been operational for seventeen years, has been facilitating the creation of a modern trading system based on a payment and settlement system.

Today, an agreement was signed with Sidama Bank at the head office for it to operate as the Exchange's 26th payment partner.

We also heard during the signing ceremony that the Exchange is constructing a pioneering modern 36-story building in Africa.
