The commission made this statement when it presented its three-year work performance report to the House.

Commissioner Professor Mesfin Araya explained in his report, "Despite facing numerous challenges over the past three years, we have managed to collect agendas in 10 regions and 2 city administrations."

The commissioner stated, "So far, we have received more than 1,260 agenda documents."

Professor Mesfin also noted that 1,105 representatives have been selected so far for the national-level consultation phase, which is expected to take place.

The National Dialogue Commission mentioned that it has secured over 1.3 billion birr in the past three years, with Professor Mesfin explaining that more than 900 million birr of that amount has been utilized.

The three-year mandate of the National Dialogue Commission, as stipulated by proclamation, was set to conclude next Friday, February 14. However, today, the House of Peoples' Representatives granted it an additional one-year extension.
