The Ministry stated that 86 percent of the schools in the country do not meet the standard of construction infrastructure set by the Ministry of Education.

The ministry stated that the nationwide school improvement program will be officially launched on June 25 and 26.

According to the ministry's public relations and communication executive, Amelework Hezekiel, the program will create an opportunity for former students of each school, donors, development organizations and investors to support the reform process and will involve the community organization up to the district level.

He also pointed out that a portal ( https://sip.moe.gov.et/ ) which shows the current status and status of each school in detail has been prepared and launched to help and invite participants.

So far, excluding the Tigray region, the current status and detailed information of 56 thousand schools of different levels nationwide has been included in the portal.

Although the program will be announced at the end of June in the presence of senior government leaders and officials, the executive said that it is possible to help the school of your choice by visiting the portal information.

He said that based on this basis, the task of connecting the interested helpers with the schools and getting them to work will be carried out.
