Decentralization of administrative decisions is a good foundation for the common benefit of the people - Ato Shimels Abdisa

 

Addis Ababa, Ato Shimelis Abdisa said that the separation of administrative decisions has laid a good foundation for the economic and social development that works for the common benefit of the people.

 

It has been stated that the separation of administrative boundaries strengthens the social bonds of the people and ensures sustainable economic benefits.

 

ESA reported that when this delimitation process was implemented, the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia, the Constitution of Oromia Region and the Charter of Addis Ababa City were taken as a starting point.

 

As stated by the head of government of Oromia region, Shimelis Abdisa, the separation of administrative boundaries is a great victory for the entire Ethiopian people, apart from the residents of the Oromia Special Zone around Addis Ababa and Finfine.

 

He recalled that due to the lack of this limit until now, there has been damage to both resident populations, and he said that now a great success has been achieved.

 

They also mentioned that the previous systems, which only thought about the land resources instead of the people, have been causing many harms to the residents on both sides.

 

He said that the government that came to power following the national change is giving appropriate answers to the development, economic and social questions of the people.

 

The issue of administrative boundaries has been a long-term question of the people and has been answered, Mr. Shimelis said.

 

After this, they said, it has reached a stage where it is impossible to abuse both the residents and to carry out sectoral activities.

 

He pointed out that the decision is of great significance to the people and will be a great transition for future social and economic activities.

 

He also pointed out that a joint office will be established to reserve the land and ensure that services to the residents are not interrupted.

 

Head of Government Shimeles confirmed that he will work with determination to connect the people with infrastructure.
