The Minister of Peace continued his acquaintance and discussion with religious institutions and leaders and met with the Council of Churches of the Ethiopian Gospel Believers today.

Meanwhile, the Minister of the Ministry of Peace, Mr. Mohammad Adris, said, "The cooperation and solidarity of religious institutions has an important role in the process of peace building."

"Religious institutions should have positive contributions in order to have a peaceful and stable society in political, economic and social matters," he said.

He pointed out that the Council of Churches of the Ethiopian Gospel should continue to strengthen the work it is doing in peace building activities and the Ministry of Peace expressed its readiness to work with the Council in cooperation and coordination.

President of Ethiopian Gospel Believers Council of Churches; Taswe Gebre (Dr.) emphasized that religions should be a great potential to ensure peace for our country by cooperating and supporting each other instead of pushing.

The Ethiopian Gospel Believers Council of Churches, working together with the Ministry of Peace, has announced that it is ready to play its part in the issue of peace in our country by strengthening its peace building activities.
