Prime Minister Abiy sent a congratulatory message for the Cross Festival

 

Addis Ababa, September 2022 Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed sent a congratulatory message for the Cross Festival.

 

In his message, the Prime Minister said that the Cross Festival is a time to overcome the challenges of the past and hope for the future.

 

He also called on Ethiopia to solve its winter problems this year and to fill its table with the food its children need.

The harsh winter season is over, and we are entering the clear and pleasant autumn season. The full river is missing. The mud dries up. The fire will be revealed. And the darkness will be lighted; The cold will ease. The plain and the mountain are decorated with flowers. It is during this time that we celebrate the discovery of the hidden cross.

The month of September is one of the seasons that show us that the rope that binds us Ethiopians is strong and cannot be broken. Most of our country's nations celebrate their New Year's Day, or the biggest Thanksgiving of the year, around this time of September. This does not seem to be a sudden or accidental arrival, like a watery liquid. The origin suggests that there will be some common idea. The origin is our unity. The diversity of the celebration is an indication of our community.

 

For the most part, our celebration is close to the gathering, the torch, the festival of youth and children, the place given to the elders, the inauguration, the good wishes. When we see this thing being celebrated from north to south, from west to east, it makes us examine the inner roots of our country called Ethiopia.
