The Supreme Council of Ethiopian Islamic Affairs has stated that the registration of the 1446th Hajj and Umrah journey will be done from January 15, 2017 to February 21 only.

Registration will begin on January 15, 2017 at all state and city government registration sites.

This year's Hajj and Umrah travel cost is 625 thousand birr.

The council said, "The increase in the dollar in connection with the macroeconomic reforms and the increase in the ticket prices on the airlines have caused the price to rise."

"Hajj Waha has been reduced by 4,921 dollars against the dollar, but it has increased in silver," he explained.

The Supreme Council has announced that it has reduced the price of services by folding the planned projects and making the services provided by Saudi Arabia affordable by 108 thousand birr.

It is stated that the money has increased due to the increase in the value of the dollar.

Last year, the total cost of one Hajj was 329,000 Birr.
