“I am fully loved and I love with my full heart”
According to the authority granted by the Holy Synod, the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church's Association Registration Monitoring and Control Department has approved two spiritual travel associations that have met the necessary requirements today.
Bishop Abune Dioskoros, a member of the Holy Synod of South and Southeast Tigray, delivered a message regarding the accreditation, stating, "Many are called, but only a few are chosen." He emphasized the need for further information and enlightenment within the church.
The Yodahe Spiritual Travel and Charity Association, one of the recognized organizations, has been in existence for over 15 years. It organizes spiritual trips to holy monasteries and parishes across the country, helping believers seek blessings and support from the saints. The association also engages in charitable activities, such as providing assistance to the elderly without burial means and to children who have lost their parents, while restoring holy relics and supporting church construction and related development efforts.
The chairman of the Yodahe Spiritual Travel and Charity Association, Kure Kane, stated that the association will conduct further spiritual journeys, especially in celebration of the feast of Saint Gabriel on December 19, at the Kulbi and Hawasa Saint Gabriel monasteries.
Ethiopia is home to more than 80,000 organizations, with 19 recognized across various professions.
