It is expected that the bill prepared to determine the price of rental houses will be approved this year

Addis Ababa, The Minister of Urban and Infrastructure Mrs. Chaltu Sani said that the draft decree to determine the price level of houses for rent is expected to be approved this year.

Many people believe that housing especially in the cities should be solved due to rent and landlord-tenant disputes.

He said that the bill that was prepared to solve the problem and reached the Council of Ministers, apart from determining the period of the rental contract, it clearly sets out the infrastructure that houses for rent should meet.

As stated in the draft decree, when landlords want to increase the rent, it is also specified when and how much.

It is said that the tenants should take proper care of the houses they have taken on rent and their other duties as well.

It is believed that the bill will save landlords and tenants from social and economic pressures by adjusting the prices and supply of rental houses that are distributed by brokers.

The Minister of Urban and Infrastructure Mrs. Chaltu Sanim said that it is expected that the bill will be approved and put into operation this year.
