The Sodo District Culture and Tourism Office has announced that the Aleltu Falls in Sodo District in Gurage Zone cannot be a source of income for tourists who come to visit them due to the lack of infrastructure.

 

Aleltu Waterfall has a wonderful nature that can be a tourist attraction, but it is not generating any income due to the lack of infrastructure other than the road, Sodo District Culture and Tourism Office Chief Mr. Getachew Teka told Bisrat Radio. Stating that the infrastructure could not be completed due to lack of sufficient budget, he stated that it is planned to work with attention to complete the infrastructure in the future to make it a tourist destination.

 

Alaltu waterfall is located 25 kilometers away from the capital of Sedo district, Chil Bui, and it is said to be 100 to 115 meters long. In addition to this, Tiya said that there are international heritage sites, age-old monasteries and other tourist destinations in the district.
