"I'm not a singer anymore."

Some of the points she mentioned in her article on Zeritu Kebede:

“To put it in short, friendly language, I'm not a singer anymore.

This nation is not commanded to sing, but to sing. My desire and deepest desire is to glorify God. And I like to do this in the way he likes, with all the gifts and abilities he has given me. Arguing about a song is not my purpose in life. Whether or not singing is possible and appropriate is not my concern anymore. I want to worship God with all my being.

Anyone who claims to be a believer must walk in the Spirit at all times as a spiritual person. A spiritual person is one who does what pleases God everywhere. When we walk in the same spirit, when we sing in the name of the song, we avoid the situations we find ourselves in. God is not glorified by everything we do to please our flesh in the name of worshiping Him.

As for the attempt to make singing (musical art) different and according to the word of God... if we are not sure that it is His will, it would be much better if we refrain from going down that road. However, when we try to escape from costly situations, we can slip away from the truth, we can go to imitate the world and get busy in service that is not our purpose.

What you should not forget is that anyone who claims to be a disciple of the Lord, who came not to be served but to be served, should reflect the same servanthood wherever he goes. Those in the world always seek a higher place; But for us, elevation is living God's will."

The people who hope for Christ's second coming are those who submit themselves to imitate God. And when he does this, he uses the gift given by the will of the Holy Spirit to come to light for those in darkness, for the edification of those in his house, and for the society he lives in, walking quietly and slowly, peacefully and with heavenly love. This nation is a moderate nation that glorifies the name of the Lord who died for it, not a nation that does what everyone else in the world does, and is caught up in pleasure and ridicule. He does this not only by singing but by all his practices. When he eats, drinks, dresses, trades, makes friends, marries, serves, etc., he does not pretend to be a native of the world, but is a people who lives in this land as a stranger and a stranger, longing for his perfect country and preaching. This nation is not commanded to sing, but to sing. “Speak to one another in song and song and spiritual poetry; Sing to the Lord in your heart." (Ephesians 5:19)
