Current information of the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam

 

???? The third round of water filling of the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam has been successfully completed.

 

???? The height of the dam has reached 611 meters this year from 585 meters when it was built.

 

???? The height of the dam has reached 600 meters this year from 575 meters last year.

 

???? The second turbine has started generating electricity.

 

???? Unit 10 has been able to generate more than 540 gigawatt hours since February.

 

The two turbines generate 375 megawatts each when the dam reaches a height of 640 meters.
