Anbasa city bus and Sheger mass transport have merged

 

Addis Ababa,  Anbasa City Bus and Sheger Mass Transport have merged into one entity to become Addis Ababa City Bus Service Company.

 

The general manager of the company, Gejaw Alemu, told Fana Broadcasting Corporation that the buses were merged with the aim of reducing the wastage of resources when they operate separately.

 

In particular, he pointed out that while providing the same service, the institutions use different fuel depots, exchange centers, human resources and other services, resulting in a huge waste of resources.

 

Furthermore, they mentioned that the integration of the buses will allow for the provision of smooth transportation by avoiding unnecessary duplication of the transportation services provided in the capital city.

 

Therefore, Anbesa and Sheger buses, which were providing services in a fragmented manner, have confirmed that they have been merged into the Addis Ababa city bus service company.
