Prime Minister Abiy stated that the outcome of the peace talks is of great importance for moving Ethiopia forward

 

Federal Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has stated that the agreement signed in South Africa today is of great importance to move Ethiopia forward.

 

In his statement, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said, "The agreement will take us to the path of change that started four and a half years ago, and it shows our commitment to peace and it will continue."

 

Prime Minister Abiy said, "Our commitment to its implementation is strong."

 

Prime Minister Abiy, Special Envoy to the African Union Commission and the Horn of Africa to the former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, with his members and high representatives who participated in the greeting, to the former President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, and to the former Vice President of South Africa, Dr. Phumuzile Malambo, as well as the African Union On behalf of the people and government of Ethiopia, he thanked the Chairman of the African Union Commission, Musa Faki Mahamat, for leading the position of "African solutions to African problems".
