The Amazing Mochena Borago Cave in Wolaita Sodo

Mochena Borago Cave is a very amazing cave located under Mount Damota in Wolaita Zone, Southern Ethiopia.
The cave is located 12 km from Sodo town on the right side of the main road from Hosana to Addis Ababa.
Mochena Borago Cave is located at an altitude of 2,340 meters above sea level.
The ceiling of the cave is 33 meters high and 50 meters wide.
History also shows that it was a cave that saved human life during the difficult period called the Ice Age.
According to research conducted by archaeologists from France and Germany, it is also stated that it was a place where humans lived in the cave during the Ice Age.
The cave walls are made of natural rocks, and archaeological excavations conducted by archaeologists from the United States, France, and Germany have shown that humans lived in the cave between 58,000 and 70,000 years ago.
Moche and Borago Cave is a large cave that can accommodate 500 people.
According to studies, Boche and Borago Cave is one of the 7 places in the world where humans took shelter during the Ice Age and where successful migrations took place.
It is an ancient place where humans began to live a settled life, cook food, and weave clothes; various tools that are evidence of this are found in the cave.
Information also indicates that the materials found in the study have been received by the Ethiopian Heritage Research and Conservation Authority today.
