Employees of government and private institutions were asked to actively participate in the national consultation

Addis Ababa, April 21, 2016 (FBC) The Confederation of Ethiopian Trade Unions asked the workers of public and private institutions to contribute to the success of the national consultation.

The president of the confederation, Kasahun Folo, made a statement today in reference to the International Workers' Day, which is being celebrated internationally for the 135th time and in Ethiopia for the 49th time with the theme "We seek a solution for peace and the cost of living".

In his statement, he said that the confederation is working to ensure that the employee fulfills his responsibilities properly and that the questions are answered.

He said that although the questions that were being asked by the workers in Ethiopia are being answered in the process, there are still unanswered and unsolved problems.

For this, the confederation is working in coordination with the relevant governmental and non-governmental institutions.

He mentioned that it is hoped that Ethiopia's national consultation will provide solutions to many of the country's problems.

He said that workers engaged in any institutions and sectors should do their part for the success of the national consultation by actively participating.

ESA reported that this year's International Workers' Day will be celebrated on April 23, 2016 in Addis Ababa with various panel discussions.
