The Harari Regional Council approved more than 3.4 billion birr for the 2015 fiscal year

 

Addis Ababa: Harari Regional Council approved the 2015 budget of 3 billion 405 million 105 thousand birr in the 6th round 1 year 2 regular assembly.

 

Abdulbasit Abubakar, the deputy head of the Regional Finance and Economic Cooperation Office, said that 51 percent of the allocated budget is for the capital budget and 49 percent for the regular budget.

 

He said that the budget is mainly covered by the revenue collected from various revenues in the region and subsidies from the federal government.

 

The state's communication data indicates that the approved budget is 14 percent higher than the same period last year.

 

In addition, the council accepted and nominated the members of the management board of the regional media agency presented by the regional head of state Mr. Ordin Bedri.

Mr. Abdujbar Mohamed was appointed as the chairman of the board and Mr. Tilahun Wadera, Ms. Delila Yusuf, Mr. Abdulbasit Abdurahman, Mr. Henok Muluneh, Mr. Nabil Yusuf and Mr. Jamal Abagoro were named as board members.
